Under Eye Circle Massage

The Under Eye Circle Massage is a gentle lymphatic drainage and acupressure technique specifically designed for the delicate under-eye area. Using precise circular motions along the orbital bone, this exercise stimulates lymph flow to reduce puffiness, increases blood circulation to diminish dark circles, and provides gentle stimulation to the orbicularis oculi muscle to reduce fine lines. The technique follows the natural lymphatic pathway around the eye, making it highly effective for fluid drainage. This is a gentler approach than squinting exercises, making it suitable for all ages and skin types.

Benefits

  • Dramatically reduces under-eye puffiness and fluid retention
  • Diminishes dark circles by improving blood circulation
  • Smooths fine lines through gentle collagen stimulation
  • Promotes lymphatic drainage for a refreshed eye area
  • Reduces eye fatigue from screen time
  • Gentle enough for the most sensitive skin types

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1

Apply a small amount of eye cream or facial oil to the under-eye area.

  2. 2

Using your ring fingers (lightest touch), place them at the inner corners of the eyes near the nose bridge.

  3. 3

Make tiny circular motions, pressing gently on the orbital bone (never on the eyeball).

  4. 4

Slowly trace along the under-eye orbital bone toward the outer corner, making circles every few millimeters.

  5. 5

At the outer corner, continue the circles up and over the brow bone back to the starting point.

  6. 6

Complete 5 full circles around each eye.

  7. 7

Finish by pressing gently on the inner corner point for 10 seconds (lymphatic drainage point).

  8. 8

Repeat the full sequence 3 times.

Pro Tips from Abi

Always use your ring finger — it naturally applies the least pressure

Stay on the orbital bone — never press directly on the under-eye hollow

The inner corner press at the end is an acupressure point that aids drainage

Do this first thing in the morning for maximum de-puffing effect

Cold fingers or a chilled spoon can enhance the de-puffing results

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Using too much pressure — this area requires the lightest touch possible

Pressing on the eyeball area instead of the orbital bone

Using index or middle fingers (too much pressure for this area)

Skipping the product application — dry skin can cause pulling and damage
